Congrats on committing to improving mentorship at your organization! Before you can get Together off the ground and have users start to register, there are a few things that you'll need to do to get setup.
The setup process can be broken down into the below four streams, which in general are split between HR and IT.
- HR - Customize registration questionnaire
- HR - Customize mentoring content and emails
- IT - Upload/integrate user data
- IT - Integrate calendar and SSO
1. Customize registration questionnaire (i.e. digital dossier)
One of the first things as the HR administrator of the program that you'll want to review is the registration questionnaire. This is the questionnaire that mentors and mentees will complete to register for the program. You can find specific details of editing this here.
2. Customize mentoring content and emails
As the HR administrator you will also want to review the mentoring content that is delivered to mentors and mentees throughout the program. You can edit this content through the admin portal, learn how to do so here.
3. Upload/integrate user data
Uploading user data is dependent on how your platform is configured. In general the options are standalone (no integration), csv upload, or HRIS integration. In all cases, initial setup will require the support of Together's customer support team. Please contact your Together success manager to discuss how to setup your configuration.
4. Integrate calendar and SSO
The specifics of setting up your organization's calendar integration and SSO are dependent on your platform configuration. In general, it is best to designate an IT contact that Together will work with to configure the calendar integration and SSO.
Testing
Once the above are completed, it is advised to test that everything is configured correctly. To do this, you can run through the registration and pairing process yourself. In particular we recommend testing the following steps with at least one other tester:
- Turn registration on - learn how to do so here
- Send yourself and your other testers a registration email - learn how to do so here
- Register for the program - the registration email will guide you how to do this
- Review the welcome to the program email - you will receive this after completing registration
- Once all your testers have registered, turn mentoring on - learn how to do so here
- Review and finalize the pairings - learn how to do so here

Once the above is complete, you can turn mentoring off to reset the platform, and then follow the same steps to start your program for real.
